There has something to do before the year, month, week, day end:
Self-reflection is those things that brought changes to your life. As part of your personal growth can you ask these questions:
- What are those things that you have learned and survived this year, this month, week or day?
- Did you made your best out of it?
- Are your actions led your life for a clearer, purposive, and meaningful life?
Let me tell you story of people who have been in struggles and difficulties of their life but managed to give their best.
Did you experience some of the following in the journey of your life? Heartbreak, Financially Broke and Career down.
The heartbreak that led to depression
I know some who used to be with his husband or boyfriend for a decade ago, then suddenly gone. They were hurt as if bone and flesh had torn them apart. They experienced struggles.
If you used to be like this or have been in this kind of trial in life, you may want to know how these people led their life to survival.
How? They took care of themselves, which means self-love is the keyword. Took care of their physical, emotional, and spiritual essentials, by deciding to love themselves first. They believe that aside from God, their family, and friends who love them, who else is better to love but to love themselves.
They found that self-love is a good practice for healing wounds. Which are:
- Morning and night meditations and affirmations every day. These are thoughts of letting go, assuring oneself to be happy, and work with the present moment.
- God’s divine presence reconnection.
- Community volunteer.
- House or room reconditioned.
- Read and watch motivational videos.
Financially Depressed
Some no matter how successful they are in their career they experienced financial difficulties. Others experienced the threat, and years of financial broke. Most of the time it is hard to balance work, family, personal life, part-time jobs, ministry, and others.
If you have been in a situation where you cannot meet ends, because of too many things need to pay first. If you have no idea how to start up a business. You havedifficulties managing your part-time jobs, or do not have a passive income, lack knowledge, and confidence about financial matters. Or you have experienced some high debts and have trouble paying for it.
These people manage themselves to work ways for them, maybe this could be of help to you too:
- Start to read financial e-books or books.
- Watch videos related to financial and business.
- Study some low-cost budget business to start with. There are so many opportunities online nowadays.
- Keep your expenses on track.
- Keep a cultivated mindset on how to manage money.
- Have a money management system.
- Prioritize and focus on your long-term goals.
- Keep yourself open and updated on new business patterns.
- Learn other skills like business skills.
- Also, if you are passionate about music, writing, cooking, or teaching. You may research how can you make an income out of it.
Career Depression
Some people experienced the talk of the town in their workplace. Some lost career because of some scandalous situations. Some have trouble adapting to new environments because of transitioning to another career that sometimes led to depression too.
If you had that experience of career loss, having a new career, or retirement. You may want to get some tips about how to manage this effectively:
- If you have the chance to transfer from one station to another station, you may try to not escape but to have a newer environment and a good set of friends again.
- Learn to deal with your anxiety, guilt, loneliness, and sadness. Have a therapy session with a psychologist or life coach.
- Do stuff that makes your time and energy active.
- Create a mindset of working with a purpose.
- Have some fun by exposing yourself to nature.
If these were your top three challenges in life. If you were in this situation, what might be the steps you are going to take for you to survive in this life? Will you increase your self-love? Will you take advantage of pandemic times to learn new skills and build a business or will you be of good service to others?
So, to close the year, the month, week, day strong. Believe that life is a continuous process of learning. Therefore, every struggle you have been or going through was just part of your personal growth. Out of this, you can bring the wisdom it has taught you. To make another year a blessing, make it stronger, and wiser. Be open to new and better opportunities in life. Cheers to the next chapter of your life!
