“So, by deciding to give yourself a chance to live again certainly this time with the purpose that it’s not about yourself but for Him. That with every little step you’re taking it is because of Him, for His glory, and His praises alone. Because of Jesus, you were saved, because of Jesus you have a new life, because of Jesus you are renewed.”

As for my personal story, I had the strength to face life. Because of Jesus, I am living now. And now I am actively studying Master of Divinity at Bishop Han Theological Seminary.

I can still remember in the gospel of Mark 10:46-52. The story of a blind man named Bartimaeus, who was blind for his whole life, was healed and been a follower of Jesus. He was eager to get near to God, because of faith he was healed, he was saved and been a follower of Jesus.

Back then, I had already accepted God as my savior when I was 14 years old, and life was incredible with Him. And now, my life has evolved, has changed a lot, and as I journeyed through this life, I realized that I was looking for more of myself, to survive in this earth, focusing less on being my true identity. It was like the rest of my life was just a charade. It was like living for a superficial life or things that wouldn’t bring lasting happiness. But oh! I discovered that there is a passion within me, a burning flame that longs to ignite every aspect of my existence. A passion that drives me to seek out the authentic, the meaningful, the transcendent. I no longer desire to merely survive in this world, I yearn to live a full and passionate life, leaving a lasting impact. I have found my purpose, and I will continue to pursue it with fervor and dedication. Passion is the key to unlocking every corner of my being and breaking down the barriers that keep me away from the fullness of life!

Emotionally charged, the year 2020 unfolded and brought forth a transformative revelation, all thanks to the guidance of my trusted therapist. In her wise counsel, I unearthed the essence of my true identity, igniting a fire within. Fueled by newfound purpose, I embarked on a remarkable journey of self-improvement, dedicated to nurturing not only my spirit, but also honing my mental acuity, fortifying my physical prowess, and nurturing my emotional well-being. This, my friends, is the incredible tale of my personal metamorphosis in the quest for holistic growth.

Our whole life is full of changes that start with our personal development, and this impacts the way we handle our finances, our career, our business, and our relationships. It is an exciting process that allows us to grow and achieve our most ambitious goals! Never underestimate the power of self-improvement and the impact it can have on all aspects of your life. Open yourself up to new opportunities and challenges and become the best version of yourself! The path to success and personal fulfillment begins within you!

In connection with this book, SOUL RESET, since I got breakdown in my life, got broke and now in the journey of healing, of wholeness and that is why I want to praise God for the breakthrough that is on the process, and it starts now.

But let me truly emphasize the profound impact of depression, a revelation I gleaned from this remarkable book. Imagine enduring the relentless onslaught of life’s blows, year after year, where every day is a battle to survive yet another season of heart-wrenching loss. It is a soul-crushing journey that demands unwavering strength and resilience.

In 2015, my depression started when my grandfather passed away. It got worse because of financial problems caused by my ex-fiancé’s betrayal. From 2016 to 2019, the weight on my shoulders grew heavier. In 2017, my grandmother, who meant a lot to me, also passed away. Along with personal loss, I faced professional troubles. Rumors and intimidation followed a promotion, and I lost my savings, home, and car. These difficulties pushed me into a deep despair as 2020 approached.

In this book it made me realized that depression can be treated, by doing things that you love doing. What you have not done or tried in your life. Have an adventure in your life. Do something healthy to your physical, mental, and emotional life.

And with the aid of the discovery approach taught by my therapist, I am able now to fight for my life. Then the story has just started, and it is a new beginning. Improving the new version of myself and it is because of God that He gave me another chance in life.

One thing that truly amazed me about this book is the captivating title it carries: “Soul Reset”. It beautifully emphasizes the profound notion that instead of embarking on this journey alone, you need the divine presence of God by your side as your steadfast partner in your transformative quest. It implores you to slow down the relentless pace of life, attuning yourself to the whispers of God, fostering a deep and intimate relationship with Him, and finding solace and restoration in His gentle embrace. Particularly in these challenging times, as the world grapples with a pandemic and navigating an era of transitions, this message of seeking divine guidance reverberates powerfully. So let us heed the call to reset our souls, embrace our divine connection, and revel in the exquisite rest that only God can provide.

He was diagnosed as having severe exhaustion. It was a realization for him, but he continued with his busy life.

A Pastor, a leader, a husband, a father, and everyone think everything is perfect and okay. But as he said a leader needs authenticity and vulnerability because it is where the journey to wholeness begins. Also, that he has been busy taking care of others, but he was not taking care of his own needs. Like spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, or in short, his soul.

Soul according to dictionary.com is the principle of life, feeling, thought, and action in humans, regarded as a distinct entity separate from the body, and commonly held to be separable in existence from the body, the spiritual part of humans as distinct from the physical part.

Soul Reset invites you when you are in grief, the spirit of despair, and the season of depression. A spiritual practice is being shared called examen which for you to set a new course in life. Because as a leader, pastor, entrepreneur, businessman, or whatever role you have, you need to lead your way to lead others, it is called discipleship. You stop talking to God and start talking right to God. His book reflection question such as which is better to be with God or serve with God?

As a follower of Jesus, better to be real because he said from his book that real joy comes when you are real with yourself. There are many people who are suffering silently. It is important to recognize it to yourself. Are you being everything to everybody?

He shared this about wholeness, it starts and ends with JESUS. When you feel exhausted, overcommitted, chronically fatigued, and depressed, working too much, ashamed, afraid, or alone. Jesus is the way to live life abundantly.

From the gospel Matthew 11:28-30 Walk with me and work with me – watch how I do it. Keeping company with Jesus you will learn to live freely and lightly.

On the day of examen, you will reflect on your wholeness. It’s being real with God and journaling it or telling it honestly with what you feel.

The journey to healing comes when you have these 6 suggested spiritual practices.

The journey to wholeness is never complete until we get to die and go to heaven that is what he called as perfected love.

Yet the love and grace of Jesus are always available. We just need to lay it all down at His feet our weaknesses and to thank Jesus for the love and forgiveness, He has been giving us every day of our lives.

This book had six spiritual practices with different reflective questions. To help you better understand yourself to lead you from breakdown to breakthrough and with that is wholeness. Spiritual practices suggested are examen, prayer, fasting, taking care of body, worship, and confession.

As I was reading the book and having a reflection, you will already feel the breakthrough is coming already. There you can feel a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationship with God.

I recommend this book to be read by people who are experiencing a breakdown in their life, for them to experienced everyday of their lives the work of Jesus into their breakdown.

Little by little you will see how Jesus is making your big problem is just a small thing.

You will worship God because of the reality of bringing your real situation, real feelings, real problems to Him. We just need to be with Him.

LEADING OTHERS IS BY LEADING YOURSELF

Christian Ethics theme: DOING THE RIGHT THING AND DOING IT RIGHT

Reflects the culture of leading others is by leading yourself first.

Therefore, based on this Book, if you are not feeling good, if you are not good in spirit, if you yourself is not totally in good shape, then how can you make others follow you, or how can you be a good model, or how can you do things right.

We make sure that we are okay as Christian by reflecting, evaluating everyday our works, behavior, our intentions, actions, or whatever it maybe it needs to be examined by you through God.

As a follower of Jesus, it is by doing the right things by doing it right is by first attending to our needs, and one of our needs is our spiritual conditions, physical conditions, mental, and emotional conditions.

That way, if you already checked on your own needs, you could therefore help also others, see their needs and help them with…it is not that we rely on our own strength but every weaknesses we make sure we connect with God, we ask Him, how is it to live in this life, to create disciples.

That is why connecting, communicating, being open, giving time to listen to God, gives you a rest, uplifts your spirit and renews your mind and body.

No matter how busy we are with different activities in our lives, be it in a church, our personal, relationship, career, or business life, a one-on-one communication with God is a significant one. We cannot really live without Him. We can only do great things with Him and most of all things become right when we are with Him.
